GF 52: Jerome “Buddy” Meyer (CA) at Fat City. He got to the Co. area on 3 Feb 68, went to a three-day in-country training the 4th, 5th,& 6th. Meyer was issued his M-16 on Feb 7th and went to rifle range to zero it on morning of 8th. He was CQ runner and fire watch for the Co. that night when all hell broke lose at Lo Giang(1). The next morning Feb 9th he went to the field on a resupply chopper to the aftermath of the night before.
