AAR-02 Looks like Alan Allen has put on some "muscle" over the years. Right hand at open angle - must have been a British soldier in a previous life. Left pocket missing button - 20 demerits. Allen says: "I weighed 146 when drafted, and now am about 230, and I was 6' 3" then and now. The button isn't missing, just not buttoned. It's difficult to salute properly with all that 'muscle' in such a tiny shirt--besides, the cameraman wasn't an officer. Also, I'm lacking three unit citation ribbons, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Valorous Unit Cititation (for Lo Giang), and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm Unit Citation. A-1-6 > L-R Front Row..Joe Gamache, Tom Bush, Tommy Foley, Miguel Rodriguez, and Don Kaiser; L-R Back Row...John Thomas, Joel Duncan (L.V.'s son), Harry Thompson, and Alan Allen.It was fantastic seeing our old 1st Sergeant Rodriguez, the Commo Squad's Bush, to meet Thomas, a replacement from OK who joined Co. A about April, 1968, and to host Joel. L.V. Duncan has three sons, and Joel is one of two of them making a life of the military. Joel, who's in the 7th Cav, hasn't been back from Iraq for long, and will soon go to Drill Instructor school. Lt. Jim Love and L.V. called to talk to everyone. Rodriguez' daughter Vivian, and son- in-law Phil, came down from Arlington. We had great food and great comradery, and talked a bunch.

A-1-6 > AAR-03 Tommy Foley and Tom Bush. Foley recently screwed Alan Allen by selling him a junked '56 Chevy for way too much money, and Bush is one of the few Co. A vets we've found who still smokes--regular tobbaco, that is.

A-1-6 > AAR-05 1st Sergeant Miguel Rodriguez, at 74, looks to be in real good shape. He has two daughters, Vivian and Carmen, and he still lives in Puerto Rico.

A-1-6 > AAR-05 Phil Navarro is married to Vivian, "Top's" daughter, and John Thomas was a Co. A replacement about April '68. In the background is Alan Allen's good friend, Glenn Boydston.
