JRO-5: Hubert "Tuco" Stamps holding ladder (Santa Barbara, CA) Note from Roger OBryan: Hubert always had a smile on his face, upbeat and had something nice to say. He was an RTO. If I remember correctly, he carried lots of other personnel equipment ---> camera, music, etc.....I remember jokingly, telling him out in the AO one day he would need lots of tape to keep it all from rattling while walking down trails. Norm Boxly notes: When I took over 1st Platoon in January 1969 Hubert was a squad RTO. He was known as Tuco, as in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The guys had nicknamed him Tuco after whatsis name "The Ugly" guy in that movie. Tuco was always a friendly and easy going guy.
