"Roger" O'Bryan, A/1/6 Company Clerk from 11/68 – 11/69, remembered CPT Plese well. He writes: CPT Plese was an excellent Commanding Officer, experienced, knowledgeable, man of impeccable integrity with corresponding leadership skills, firm but fair, well respected who certainly cared about the welfare of his men. I remember him as having incredible map reading skills and could pinpoint where each squad was positioned during movement. I can still hear him on his PRC-25 radio directing his platoon's on night patrol's giving explicit instructions, almost on a step by step basis with his calm and almost whispering voice.
