LM79: – The 198th Brigade moved off of LZ Bayonet to Chu Lai. This was a view from my (Lou Miller's) room. If you took the road at the bottom of the stairs and went to the right about a quarter mile, you would come to the 1/6. Division Headquarters was a few miles to the left, out on a point. A gunship was out over the water and firing his mini-guns one late afternoon. The whole base went on alert, everything stopped. It turned out the gunship was firing at some sharks not far from the general’s quarters.
